How to sign a PDF
- Drop the PDF you need to sign.
- Draw your signature (or type your name). It appears on the page — drag it to the signature line and resize it with the corner handle.
- Add the date with the Text tool, then click Download PDF.
Is this a legal signature?
For most everyday documents — rental forms, permission slips, quotes, agreements — an image of your signature is accepted. Some documents (notarised or government e-filing) require a specific e-signature service; check what the recipient requires.

Questions, answered
Does it work on my phone?
Yes — sign with your finger on a phone or tablet, then drag the signature into place.
Can I reuse my signature?
Within the same session, yes: choose Sign again and it is placed instantly. We don’t store signatures after you close the page.
Can I change the existing text in a PDF?
Not directly — a PDF stores text as positioned drawing instructions, not as a flowing document. The reliable way is to cover the old text with a white box (Whiteout) and type the new text on top. That is how most free editors do it too.
Is it safe to use for contracts and IDs?
Yes. Your PDF never leaves your device. One caution: Whiteout only covers what is underneath — the hidden text is still in the file. Don’t use it to remove secrets before sharing a PDF.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Tap to place text, drag items to move them, and sign with your finger.
Why does it say my page is rotated?
To keep positions exact, pages with a rotation flag must be turned upright first. Use “Rotate PDF”, then edit the result here.
